LASER Alliance Workshop on the Practical Application of the 10 Principles of Effective Safety Education

Wednesday 13 June, 2012, 10:00-16:00, Birmingham

This workshop will give participants the opportunity to

*There is a very good chance that members of LASER Alliance will have a unique opportunity to take part in a pilot of a new form of accreditation of their practice. The PSHE Association is developing Chartered Teacher Status for those who teach PSHE education in schools. In partnership with the Association we are discussing piloting Chartered Practitioner Status – for safety and risk education practitioners. As this scheme will accredit the practitioner and not just the scheme it is transferable to other roles – and will be equivalent to that achievable by teachers.

The accreditation will be based on the completion of a portfolio of evidence and we aim to support members with three meetings covering different aspects of the requirements. If you think you/your manager/colleagues might be interested in this accreditation process then:

Let us know by registering your interest for this first meeting and workshop on 13th June.

If you can't attend on 13th June then still register your interest as we will consider running another 'introductory session' if the interest is strong.
